CITIZENGLOBAL, INC. COMMUNITY STANDARDS

CitizenGlobal, Inc. (“CG”) is a community of creators and we welcome you to this community.  We have created “community standards” so that visitors to our site and creators of content will understand that we seek to maximize the number of people who will visit the site, be comfortable with the content, use the features available at the site, and communicate with others through the site.  Indeed, it is your participation that makes CG a global platform of creative communication.

These community standards apply to everything that takes place at and through www.citizenglobal.comand its related forums (the “Site”), all features at the Site, and all content that is posted for public viewing, for viewing by a more limited audience, emails, comments, and any other communication (“Content”). 

We understand the inherently subjective nature of “community standards.”  We appreciate that what one person finds disgusting someone else will find “edgy.”  The CG community, however, consists of a wide variety of cultures and personalities, with varying backgrounds, ages, sensitivities, and values.  We want inclusive participation and engagement.  Here is our recommendation – take the high road.  If you think certain content might be (or that others might find it to be) offensive, gross, disgusting, frightening, shocking, upsetting, harassing, intimidating, etc., then do not post it.

If you think that certain producer “footage calls” allow for the submission of content that would otherwise be inappropriate, please contact CG.

CITIZENGLOBAL COMMUNITY STANDARDS FOR CONTENT

1.             You are solely responsible for the Content and the decision to upload it to the Site.

2.            The Content is original to you, is in the public domain, or is licensed to you by third parties.  If you are relying on other legal doctrines for the lawfulness of your posting, you have identified for CG the portion of the content and the basis for your reliance.  CG is not making legal decisions on your behalf.

3.            You do not intend, and a reasonable person would not conclude, that anything in the Content is intended to threaten, harm (physically, mentally, emotionally, or psychologically), harass, intimidate, mislead, otherwise injure others, or exploits an individual through deceptive or unjust treatment.    

4.            You do not intend, and a reasonable person would not conclude, that the Content promotes racism, bigotry, or hatred.  Any references to race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is not demeaning.

5.             The Content does not contain personally identifiable information about a child under the age of thirteen (13) years.

6.            The Content is not obscene or pornographic.  The Content does not promote, contain a link to, or provide information about “adult” websites or products or companies.

7.            The Content is not defamatory, disparaging, slanderous, or libelous, and does not otherwise contain statements about a person that are false. 

8.            The Content does not contain descriptions or images that a reasonable person would find offensive, disgusting, frightening, shocking, upsetting, harassing, intimidating, offensive, or gross. 

9.            Statements offered in the Content as facts are believed to be true and have a reasonable basis for such belief.

10.         The Content does not impersonate, or otherwise misrepresent an affiliation, association, or connection with, any person or entity.

11.         The Content does not violate the privacy rights of any person or the rights of publicity of any person (including publication of private facts, intrusion into a place of seclusion, portrayal in a false light, or false endorsement).

12.         The Content does not disclose confidential information of a third party (for example, the trade secrets of a company).

13.         The Content does not encourage or support unlawful activities.

14.         The Content does not promote the goods or services of any person or entity unless such promotion is in response to a specific call by CG.

15.         Most nudity is not allowed, particularly if the context is sexual, provocative, or threatening.  Certain nudity (infants playing with bubbles in a bathtub, art, educational information about breast cancer) may not necessarily be inappropriate.

16.         The Content does not depict violence, dead bodies, drug use, animal cruelty, underage smoking or underage use of alcohol, use of weapons, methods for harming people or animals, or methods of destruction (such as the making of explosive devices).

17.         Even with these community standards, we understand that Context is everything.  What may appear to be prohibited by one of these standards may be appropriate in unique circumstances, such as footage about war, famine, disease, disaster, or an exposé that reveals unacceptable conditions.   Therefore, on occasion, some selected reporting or storytelling may portray scenes or disseminate information about topics that some viewers will find upsetting.  As with all Content, we reserve the right to take the action we think appropriate under the circumstances.  
 

18.         Please exercise discretion as to the number of Comments you post to the Site, the language you use, and the tone.  No foul language, personal attacks, or disparaging comments.  Again, take the high road.  We expect different opinions and passionate opinions.  Where you disagree with certain Content, disagree thoughtfully and respectfully.

REPORTING INAPROPRIATE CONTENT

Visitors to the Site and Registered Users can notify CG of Content that they believe does not comply with these community standards, or is otherwise inappropriate, or violates the law.  Please contact CG at help@citizenglobal.com.

Please note that you have no user “right of privacy” with regards to Content that you upload, comments that you post, email that you transmit, or other of your communications at or through the site.  There is no “right to know” about decisions we make regarding conduct at the Site, or our investigations into reports of abuse.

Although CG does not routinely monitor all uploads, postings, and communications, it may do so at any time and may take any action that it deems appropriate.  These actions may include removing, blocking access, editing, and/or reinstating Content; suspending or closing user accounts; prohibiting future participation at the Site, and any other actions we think appropriate.  That includes reporting Content to law enforcement, especially if it involves children.  Our decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
